Recommendations for installation of small waste water treatment plants

To install a waste water treatment plant in the ground, connect it to the sewerage and place it correctly from the static point of view an approved construction project is needed. Installation must be conducted by an authorized person. Types AT 6 and AT 20 are designed in a way that the container can resist the pressure of the soil without requiring other construction or static measures after it has been put under the ground or concrete (unless the plant planner decides otherwise). Upper edge of the waste water treatment plant should be 5 to 10 cm above the ground. If needed, other static measures can be taken (cementing the plant to the place). The plant is not designed to resist the burden of pressure caused by tires of lories, base of a house, etc. The cover of the plant is impassible. It is not recommended to place the plant to the close proximity of the house or under the windows of living room, bedroom or under a balcony. In case the plant in installed in an underground facility, proper access must be ensured in line with all the norms and rules as well as appropriate ventilation system and sewerage above the highest point of the inhabited facility. There must be at least 500 mm of free space around the waste water treatment plant and minimum of 1 800 mm of headroom. To install the plant into the ground, it is necessary to have a hole in the ground of the appropriate size and place a reinforced concrete base with flatness of 5 mm on the bottom. Thickness of the concrete base must be appropriate to the reference tonnage of the soil (approximately 150-200 mm) and the size of the water treatment device. Before the concrete base is laid down, groundwater must be lowered below the base level. To test the waste water treatment plant and to put in into operation, sufficient supply of water is necessary (potable, non-potable, river water…) to fill the plant.

Electrical requirements

There must be a 230V/10A plug in the planned location of the membrane blower with an independent circuit breaker of 1A.
